Banky Foiben'i Madagasikara

After Madagascar's exit from the franc zone, Banky Foiben'i Madagasikara (BFM) was created on June 12, 1973 by ordinance No. 73-025 defining its statutes. It took over from the Malagasy Broadcasting Institute. This ordinance was repealed and replaced by the amended Law N ° 94-004 of June 10, 1994 , which defines the statutes of BFM and enshrines its independence in matters of monetary policy. Banky Foiben'i Madagasikara has recently been given new statutes enshrined in Law n ° 2016-004 of July 29, 2016, supplemented by that n ° 2016-057 of February 02, 2017 . These clearly set out the objectives of BFM and strengthen its independence.
