Current account balance as a percentage of GDP in the US has been negative for last 9 years. According to OECD Long-term graph, the all-time low of -4.6% was observed in 2008 while the highest level of about -2.3% was reached in 2013.

IMF and EC predict the final value equal to -2.7% of GDP. OECD Long-term Forecast predicts current account balance to GDP of 0.7% by 2060.
