Global Initiative against Transnational Organized Crime

The Global Initiative against Transnational Organized Crime (GI-TOC) is a network of prominent law enforcement, governance and development practitioners who are dedicated to seeking new and evidence-based strategies and responses to organized crime. Created in 2013 and headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, the GI-TOC has a globally dispersed Secretariat and a network of regional civil society observatories that work to provide a platform for engagement with states and for dialogue and joint action between civil society, law enforcement and other state actors. Overall, the GI-TOC works to promote greater debate and innovative approaches, which serve as the building blocks to an inclusive global strategy against organized crime.
