Organised by the National Healthcare Group (NHG), the Singapore Health & Biomedical Congress (SHBC) is the largest healthcare scientific meeting and competition in Singapore, attracting over 3,000 local and global healthcare delegates each year. Since its inception in 2002 – when it was previously known as the Annual Scientific Congress before it was rebranded as SHBC in 2010 – this key annual event has developed into an important forum for clinicians and healthcare professionals in Singapore.  SHBC is the ideal platform to share best practices, discuss pertinent healthcare issues and showcase research achievements with the common goal of delivering the highest quality of integrated healthcare to patients and the community.

SHBC aims to foster an environment of lifelong learning and relevant research and uphold key values in nurturing success by promoting collaborations, participation and trust among healthcare organisations. More importantly, SHBC wishes to advance the education of the healthcare professionals and the patients they care for so as to build a more integrated healthcare system for the people of Singapore. Besides the Scientific Programme that SHBC has to offer, there is also the prestigious Scientific Competition which is an open competition for local and international medical and scientific professionals. Other SHBC highlights include the Keynote and Plenary sessions, the Healthcare Leadership Summit, the Opening Ceremony and Scientific Competition Prize Presentation Ceremony, Exhibition and Posters Session and the Faculty Appreciation Dinner.
